Born in 1988, Thomas Lisboa started his career in Jiu-Jitsu at 16 years old. Throughout his career, he has been a 2x world champion (purple and brown belt), South American champion among many other important titles and good results. In 2012 he was promoted to black belt from Fabio Gurgel. He obtained excellent results competing as a black belt being runner-up world no-gi champion, 2x Brazilian runner-up and won several IBJJF Open tournaments. As an instructor, he taught in the best academies in the world as Marcelo Garcia Academy in NYC and Alliance Headquarters located in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Nowadays we are lucky to call Thomas the Head Instructor at Alliance Vancouver.
